Welcome to Our School Community
At Erie Catholic School System, our story is rooted in faith, formed through learning, and sustained by a caring community. Across all six campuses, we work together to educate the whole child and guide students toward lives of purpose, service, and hope.
Every campus shares the same mission: to nurture minds, strengthen character, and deepen faith in a Christ-centered environment. With dedicated teachers, personal attention, and a spirit of service, we help students grow academically, spiritually, and socially as they prepare for high school and beyond.
Rooted in Faith
Nurture minds, strengthen character, and deepen faith in a Christ-centered environment.
OUR MISSION
To form students in faith, scholarship, and service through an exceptional Catholic education that develops the whole child mind, body, and spirit.
Our Vision
Guided by the principles of the Catholic faith, the Erie Catholic School System will provide our students with an academically rigorous course of study while instilling a strong moral character and a zeal for service to others.
Our Philosophy
The Erie Catholic School System comprises Preschool through Grade 8 campuses, offering high-quality, faith-based education to families in the Erie area. Under the Bishop's guidance, Erie Catholic schools nurture children in the Catholic faith, fostering spiritual and intellectual growth within a culture of respect and shared values.
Educators deliver a consistent curriculum that meets or exceeds state standards, focusing on heightened expectations and measurable outcomes. Learning is tailored to individual student needs through student-centered, inquiry-based, and hands-on practices.
Erie Catholic inspires students to embody gospel teachings through their words and actions, emphasizing Catholic social teachings and service to others. The system provides leadership, resources, and accountability to strengthen all schools while preserving their unique communities and traditions.
Our Story
The Diocese of Erie launched the Erie Catholic School System in July 2017 as part of Building in Truth and Love, the comprehensive plan for diocesan schools. It includes six Preschool through Grade 8 Catholic schools in the City of Erie and Millcreek, all of which have provided excellent Catholic education to Erie families for decades.

Consistent Curriculum
Increased Expectations
At Erie Catholic, educators implement a consistent curriculum at or above state standards, focusing on high expectations and measurable outcomes. Our schools tailor learning to individual student needs with effective, student-centered instructional practices.
Together, we:
- Share Best Practices: Our principals, teachers, and staff collaborate regularly to maintain educational quality, faith formation, and student development across campuses.
- Align Curriculum: We provide a cohesive, challenging curriculum from early literacy to STEM, catering to individual learning needs from preschool to eighth grade.
- Centralize Resources: Our system-wide approach allows schools to share resources for professional development, extracurricular programs, and student support services, ensuring small class sizes and a close-knit community.
- Provide Consistent Faith Formation: Rooted in Catholic teachings, we integrate daily prayer, religious instruction, and service opportunities, giving every student a strong foundational faith.
